For more than 20 years, Fabio Fontinelle has dedicated his craft to black and gray realism — lifelike portraits, large-scale sleeves and surreal compositions. Founder of Bay Ink Tattoo in San Diego, Fabio takes on a limited number of custom projects, each beginning with a personal consultation at his Bay Park studio.
His work spans lifelike portraits, large-scale sleeves, back pieces and surreal compositions — pieces planned around the body and built to age well. Every project starts with an in-person consultation where Fabio and the client design the piece together.
Fabio Fontinelle has been tattooing for more than 20 years, building a reputation as one of San Diego's most trusted names in black and gray realism. Born in Brazil and now based in San Diego, he is the founder of Bay Ink Tattoo, where he works from his Bay Park studio on Morena Blvd.
Every project begins with an in-person consultation: bring your idea, references and placement, and leave with a plan and a quote. Books are open for new clients.
